So I just asked my old smoking hot writing lecturer from Uni out for a coffee to 'discuss' writing.
She said - sweet sounds good.
I replied, 'awesome, I'll check in with you again soon and organize for next week.'
And that was that.
Is she thinking what I'm thinking, or will I have to lead her with my intent? _________________ It's so cliche to hate cliche's these days.

I don't know, it might be that you're failing and she wants to give you some genuine pointers.
EITHER WAY THIS IS STILL A GREAT OPPORTUNITY.
To make physical contact easier I would go in, insist on finding a table first and you go up and get the coffees/drinks whatever, really go macho and buy her one for her, say you'll go and get them and when she's sat down just softly/but firm enough not to be creepy, stroke her shoulder as you go past her to order them (to say 'don't worry about it').
Then it's game time. I don't really have any routines or anything but I try to follow a few local rules a) playfully makes jokes at her expense, b) be sarcastic about how brilliant you are rather than negative sarcasm, c) always show a positive attitude to life and new experiences and d) bring sex into the conversation.
Not sure if you would agree with them, but I hope it works out for you dude! I had a philosophy lecturer who gave me chills she was so hot, who obviously did not invite me out to 'help' me.

I didn't make it clear in my initial post that I have long since graduated Uni and this was through Facebook after a while with no contact.
I will take your advice on board and give an update after the coffee (perhaps more) takes place! _________________ It's so cliche to hate cliche's these days.
