I'm rather new to the whole PUA but I do posses a lot of the skills mentioned. I've read quite a few books on it and seem to believe that the easiest method I've found is using Magic and / or NLP. I'm not "in the game" per say I just find it fascinating and well, to be honest, psychology is where it's at. I love to know what it is people think while they do it. I used to struggle (sometimes I still do), with confidence but really without confidence you NLP will not work. You need to flat out say "I am a bird with a beautiful tail, but not as beautiful as you" or whatever. Clearly that won't work but still.. if you're going to say that and be like "I am...uhh..a .. uh.,...bird" clearly it's going to kill rapport. I find the best technique used for instant rapport is the "surprise trust fall". Honestly, you may laugh and fall on your ass a lot but the moment the person catches you , you can build kino almost instant as you have the rapport.
