As I am sure you have noticed by the subject of the thread, I am new to this world.
But let me get to the point.

In my very limited readings so far - I haven't been able to figure out the significance of a PUA's "handle/alias/callsign".
Most respected PUAs use them, as can be seen in almost all who feature in "The Game" - but I can't understand as to why it helps with picking up women - in my mind it would distance yourself too much from the target and make it awkward when she uses the name. I really can't picture a woman referring to me by a name like "Mystery" or "Style" the entire night.

I was wondering how everyone here uses them: what context do you use them with women? Do you refer to your wing by their handle? And how many of you actually use them? And most importantly: why?

I think people use them on the forum for anonymity mainly, but in real life I'm sure some people use them.

To me, it's hiding behind a false ego you created to give you an extra boost of confidence. "Jim" may not be able to pull girls, but "SexyOne" may?

I don't know, I think using an alias in real life is fucking stupid. If what you are spitting is so stupid that you have to hide behind a fake name, you aren't doing it right. Online is one thing, we all have reputations to protect for different reasons. In person I think it's kind of childish.

As with using the verbiage in real life. I have NEVER asked my friends if they want to go "sarging."

Handles work well on forums (when concealing identity), I've never used an Alias at a club but I know people do. They don't use anything extraordinary like "Swinggcat" but they will use a name other than their own. For example, my friend's name is Alex, but he will use 'Mark' instead.
