I need help, first sentence, I presume a compliment is an idea?? But I honestly freeze, I must be doing someit right cos they always come over and seem fine, if only I could be more whitty or charming... damn

Anyways if she has giving you tremendous IOI's it should be relatively easy for your openers and you should already be in A2 showing DHV by telling a story etc. But for your initial conversation starter anything goes I presume except paying immediate compliments like "What is your name" that gets old.

If she has given you some IOI's (eye contact, smile, etc.)
a simple "How are you" should be enought to open.
Never start with a compliment and make her ask your name first. (IOI)
