Even if she comes over to you house, you should let her see the house, stay a minute or two, but say you gotta go out and pick something up and she should come with you. A steak, groceries, whatever. That's an extra date right there, and she will be more comfortable coming back to a house she has already seen.

Even when I get invited to her place, I always say we should go out and pick something up together. It's usually the second date so it's important to really build solid foundations if you want to fvck later.

To me, both of the above are some really fundamental rules that I would never break.

I think that you actually went for it is awesome, but as other members have stated, you probably went too quick or didn't take the steps necessary for getting her comfortable sooner.
