As six or seven of my closest friends walk inside, we made our way to the bar area. Luckily, the SPAM provided a strong starting package: good music, friendly bartenders, and a surprisingly proportional ratio. This Saturday night was not to be wasted.

During the first couple of minutes, she makes eye contact, but it was only to be broken three seconds later. She flashes an innocuous smile, and I whisper to my wing, "That's the one."

She was the one. But I had to think of something clever, something unique, something well. . .PUA. Fortunately, my pivot provided me with the perfect solution; she happened to have a Polaroid camera (the one that provides the gratification of instant pictures). Why didn't I ever think of that? It was the Perfect Peacock. Then I remembered that such great devices are left abused by the Ages of new technology.

Nonetheless, I approach her with the bulky camera. "Hey, make sure you get my good side." After she takes the picture of us, I thank her and let her out of my sight. It was time to get some drinks and run a few more sets.

About thirty minutes pass by. So does she. "You're not such a bad photographer. I might have to keep you around!" She is left smiling by my comment, but could not return it with a clever remark herself. I was the one.

Yet once again, we take our own directions. It was the right thing to do. I spend the next thirty minutes utilizing my new pivots. They were older, yet surprisingly attractive, cougars that served their purpose of creating sexual tension in the air. I knew she was still watching me.

I decided to pull out my final lifeline and approach her for the last time. We began dancing right away. I showed her my moves; she teased me with hers. We let our bodies come close, but we also let them drift apart. The sexual tension was at its climax and everyone in our peripherals began to show their appreciation. They couldn't help but catch it themselves.

Her friends caught on quickly. They left her and her "new friend" to be alone. Probably so they could find one for themselves. After twenty minutes of small-talk, she told me she was a hair-stylist at a trendy fashion boutique in my area- something by the name of ULTA. Though I have never heard of it, I played along anyway. "Great! Now you can cut my hair." I didn't need a hair cut. She laughed and told me to make an appointment. And she was serious.

Sadly enough, this story comes without a fairy-tale ending. Fate made us part ways abruptly, and a moment of passion was lost to our needy friends and an increasingly populated crowd. But I did not leave empty handed. I was smart enough to obtain her business card for an appointment that I would make in the near future. What I did not know is that I only had her work information. Now I would have to call her sometime between Monday through Friday, during the hours of nine-to-five. It's how the way our world turns. . .

Any ideas for the follow-up phone call?

Is this hair style place close to other retail places?

I would show up and make the appointment in person 'because you were around there anyways'.

Make the theme about her cutting your hair... messing it up and you having to shave it..

Talk to her and say... 'I've got a bunch of stuff to do today but I do have a few minutes left, when do you get a break?'.

If she has attraction, she will find a break or appoligize for not being able to take one.

# close if it feels right. If not, call a couple of days for your appointment and do a number close then.

That's not such a bad idea. . .

I was thinking about calling at first, but I might just swing on by. Then again, I would probably feel really weird walking into her work just to ask her out. The thing is, I really DON'T want to get a haircut. . .I just want to get her number so I can make plans with her outside of our places of work. It's a bit of a predicament because I could see it as an uncomfortable situation for her: Some guy she met at a bar comes in and asks her out. Then her having to explain it to her coworkers that "I was the one." Lol.

I try to run perfect game, each and every time. Maybe I should just forget about the whole thing? I don't know. I'm just thinking out loud.

BTW, I just mapquest'ed the address, and she is only 2.09 miles away from my office. We both work in the city of Atlanta and there are a few upscale malls in the local area. Meaning, if I can move it outside of our work arenas, I will be in the clear. . .I blame myself for not getting her damn cell phone number!

Here is the thing. You are not asking her out. You are finding out when she gets a break. If she cannot and appoligizes, tell her you should have lunch sometime.

Have you ever been to 'this' place. No? It is fantastic. I am goinng to be getting 'dinner','lunch','snack' here tomorrow. You should come join me.

When I wrote that you should call back in a few days, I forgot to write that you would be calling back to cancel the appointment. (I could tell you did not actually want the haircut)

Yes, you should have gotten it before.

Never give up but just do not go out of your way to much to make it happen.

Here's the follow-up (well, half the follow-up).

Even though she works 2 miles away from me, I still managed to get lost! No surprise, I really suck with directions. I got frustrated so I said fuck it and called her. . . She was not there. But I left a message for her to call me back. I gave the manager my cell phone number and told him to have her call Jay back for his appointment.

This is how I'm hoping the conversation will play out:

Sexy Broad: "Hey! Good to hear from you. When do you want to schedule your appointment?"

Me: "I'm thinking something like three Wednesdays from now."

SB: "Wow, that's a really long time."

Me: "Well, the thing is, I really don't need a haircut right now, but I do need a dance partner for Saturday night?" (Its not a question but I will say it in question form).

The ball is on her side of the court. Lets see what happens!
