Transitioning out of the opening

I need help transitioning out of the opening, if I can find a open that seems natural to the situation it typically isn't that difficult. But when using a canned opener, I don't know how to move into a normal conversation.

"Hey by the way..." Usually is great for transitioning.
After enough experience you will realize that it doesn't matter if you transition correctly or not, because it becomes clear that not caring how you're coming across that gets the attraction, along with being confident.
