I agree with most of the video. What I've noticed on these forums, though, is that the advice given isn't so bad as the people who are asking for it. They read stupid books that teach you horribly mechanical rules. These rules might work for the author, but they sure as hell won't work for every guy's personality. To make things even worse, they completely misinterpret these guidelines and make themselves look like complete assholes. So these guys get on here and go "guys, bros, dudes, gentlemen...I told a girl she has a cute beer gut and she got pissed! I thought that was the perfect neg! What do I do now?" Or, worse yet, they are given advice then argue about it. They bounce back and forth between asking for help and pretending they're experts.

The important thing is to be confident, look your best, and have some social intelligence to carry on a decent conversation and know how to not cross the line between persistent and creepy. The rest really isn't all that important and you sure as shit don't need to buy a bunch of books or videos to learn how to attract women.

In my personal experience, the only use I have found for pick up is to improve your confidence and self esteem. Before I got into pickup I used to freeze when talking to a girl. I got all sweaty and coudn't say anything worth saying. The (very) few girls I did talk to, I put myself automatically in the friendzone because I did not believe I could ever have sex with them. I was that shmoe who waits for the girl to make every last move. But after I learned pick up, I could go talk to them because I had a plan. Most of the times I forgot everything about cheesy openers and tactics and whatever. I'm a natural funny guy (all my friends agree on that) with a sarcastic sense of humor. I had everything I needed on my natural game, I only lacked the balls to use it.

In fact, more than once, when I really, really, really wanted a girl, I blindly used negs, sexual escalation and so on and ended up being branded as a jerk, pervert or sleezy. And every last time this happened I assumed the situation to be lost and tried to mend fences and at least recover their friendship. Then, when I was being the real funny, sarcastic, loyal friend that I am they started to be more into me, and I even hooked up with a few of them.

I'll give you one exemple. This girl I dated for a while had a thing for "bad boys". She had been hurt before but just could not help herself. One time she was friendzoning me talking about some dude that fit the profile and she was into. Standard PUA action would be to act like I do not give a fuck, push her to him, if it works out between them move on, if it does not be there for the rebound and then move on. I simply could not bare myself to do it. I liked this girl, why would I incite her to do something that would hurt her? So I did the last thing a PUA would have done. I sat her down and had one of those "what do you honestly think will happen?" talk. She eventualy said I was right, we went out a couple times, it did not work because we wanted diferent things in life but we still had sex and parted as friends.

One thing I find useful though are the mind games some books teach you. Stuff like NLP, body lenguage, and so on.
