So I posted a bit ago about this HB9 I met up with the other day. I found out she's a career runway model and got a bit nervous, but things went pretty well, she was receptive to kino, laughing and smiling, incessantly playing with her hair. Came to my apartment but was NOT receptive to a kiss. I didn't get rejected persay–she just dead-lipped me and almost laughed. Still very comfortable with my holding her face close with my arm around her though.

Anyways, we continued flirty, unstressed conversation following that (she had made it clear earlier she had to leave early) and she, unprompted, texted me later in the night with an inside joke from the night. So while I was about to bail on this one, there's still a spark there.

It's been two days since we met up, and she hasn't initiated contact. So now – I'm at the point where it's time to figure out what to say to get her back out again. I really just need an excuse to open her somehow…the problem is, in that exchange at the end of the night my best material was used up!

Things we joked about that night: crashing a wedding nearby, the band 3 Doors Down was playing in town and we laughed about going to see it, and cake jokes (she had to go to a birthday party). All three of those things were brought up in our(brief, with her initiating/showing interest) post-date text exchange….all three would have been excellent openers. But I feel as though if I were to re-use something that many times I'll appear a bit dull.

I could make fun of her for her non-namebrand Doc Martens. I could poke fun for her having a modeling shot of herself on her phone. I could mention something about my dog ( we took him for a short walk). I'll have no problem out to, I just need a good way to do it!

I was thinking something along the lines of "Hey [Christy], what are the chances of getting those fake Docs out for a stroll over here tonight? Drinks @ [place/time]" or even "Hope my favorite dog-walking companion is doing well. Drinks @ [place/time] tonight?" …..BUT, I'm trying to avoid asking her a question. At this point I'm really just trying to break the ice again!

I'm probably really overthinking all of this, but this is the first girl that's presented a challenge to me in a long, long time. So I need a good in, something that's not too wordy or needy. She's hot as fuck and she knows it, and I want a way to get back in.

Advise please!

Man I'm gonna say call her and set something up! Texting is good, but a strong phone convo will set you apart from other guys she may have chasing her. As far as openers there's a thread on here with some real solid ones. Also go into the search and look up Heywood Jablowme as far as text game I've found his posts the best and most informative. Thanks for the reply and the information! I don't disagree about a call setting you apart, but I've found that all the younger (25 and under) girls I've been gaming seem to just abhor a phone call before they're more invested. She's a rapid-fire texter, we haven't spoken via phone yet, and we've only seen one another the night I got her number and our first hangout. So I feel it's wiser to stick to text for the time being.

That being said, in searching around I've found it really seems like I just need a good "ping" text here to open things up again. So I think I'm going to work one of those inside jokes into something more casual, like:

"a coworker's got oxblood docs too…yours are probably more authentic though "

just to have a little bit of recall within a ping structure, open things up again, and go from there.
