Long Story Short:

This girl has apparently liked me for a while. I didn't know and thus gamed other girls. Anyway couple weeks ago I got absolutely plastered on a night out with her and a her group of friends. Got off with one of her housemates (who knew she liked me, girls be bitches yo)

Anyway at the next party she comes up to me. Tells me she likes me and has for awhile. I get off with her, shes gets all cutesy and such (she's a very cute, shy, protective of her emotions girl) and tells me she just wants it to be casual but definitely wants to go out on a date with me for drinks and dancing. Something fun.

Anyway, this is a pretty heavy party. Couple days later I run standard date game i.e. "When are you taking me out for this night of drink and dancing" and get a longgggg response about how she's been ill since the party and that she's on the train home yadada got antibiotics yadayadayada and says we should definitely rearrange when she's on top form.

She's on top form now. We're meant to be going out tomorrow but I COMPLETELY forgot it's my best mates birthday night out and he reminded me last night. I'm piss poor at postponing as I have a mindset of "Postponing = dates never gonna happen."

Additional Details: I have massive social proof with this girl. All of her coursemates love me.
One of my old (FITTTTT) fuck buddies said she used to ask her alot of questions about what was happening between us (everyone knew we were fuck buddies) oh and her best/closest female friend thinks I'm awesome and wants us to get together.

Anyway, no more ranting. Due to me considering that postponing = more time till onetoone date = lost attraction.

I can't not go to my mates birthday as he put in a lot of effort for mine.

Its like you're indirectly trying to sabotage it, I do something similar with girls that I'm not THAT into also, sounds like you're not that into her.

I would say I'm more "I don't know" about the whole situation. I used to be really into her but couldn't do anything as a best mate was after her, loved her and all that bollocks.

Also a girl I was really into has just gone to France for 3 months (got with her, having sex all that jazz) who i still communicate with.

However she's already agreed that it's just a casual drink and dance as I want to get to know her and vice versa. Basically with this girl we both find each other physically attractive but don't know each other yet. With other girls I've always gotten to know them before initiating a date so my self-sabotage isn't on purpose. I'm just lost.
