Specifically speaking, I am talking moment just prior to have sex, or to a much lesser extent, the moment before going for a make out.
Speaking specifically, if (we/ I) where living in the moment, fear and anxiety would not exist. Both result from either projecting into the future, or dwelling on the past.
The possibility of negative consequences in future prevent us for taking action in the present.
The consequences of the past prevent us from seeing the present for what it is.
The result is that we rarely live in the present, but rather are constantly looking back to the past as guide to secure future outcomes.
How can one better live in the present, where they are not brother by the outcomes of the future, and not blinded by the consequence of the past?

Once you get the internal world down, everything else falls into place. In practical terms this will look like being attuned to what's going on in your body feeling wise, observing it, and just being "the watcher" rather than trying to figure things out and get stuck in your head (problem solving).
Eckart Tolle speaks about this at length.

The best way I can put it is with this metaphor:
I feel like the world is a river. Sometimes I can sit and watch the sticks floating down the stream. I can see whats pushing them in a direction, why they're doing what they're doing, and that they are indeed merely part of the flow of the stream.
Other times I feel like im also floating down the river caught up in subconcious response with the rest of the sticks.
I would really like to overcome this and be more consistently aware. _________________ Total f*ckin' noob
