Hey guys I've been talking to an awesome follower of mine on a SPAM session. I don't want to mention his name cause I didn't get his permission to post it public so let's call him "K". (you'll be seeing amazing success stories about him soon!)

One of his biggest problems was time management. He's a creative dude that does a lot of creative writing (as a hobby) and he's looking to transform it to something more than a hobby. On top of this he has to juggle college courses, making money and improving his dating life as well... in fact his main obstacle is balancing this and getting the most productivity out of his time.

I can totally relate to it because I love writing music, doing rants on youtube, building my business, working a 9-5, going to drill weekend for the Army and committing to the healthy relationship that i'm in. This is a struggle for every body but I think it's especially a struggle for creative people who want to tap into their own talents.

It's hard to judge if you've "done enough" and I used to spend most of my time beating myself up and living in a world of confusion... " Am I doing enough or am I just a lazy bastard??"

I felt like this until I got a mentor to help me regain focus on my goals and my vision. Now I can sit down and relax knowing that I got the most important tasks done during the day (I'm more productive working hard 2 hours a week than a lot of people are working 8+ hours a day *or procrastinating*"

What's the secret? It's simple.... turn your fucking phone off, close facebook, turn off your internet connection and bang away at any task you are going in on for 2 straight hours (take a 10 minute break in between hours).

You can apply this to picking up girls too. Don't show up at the bar early when people are just coming in... Go in during the peak hour when girls are tipsy and the party is jumping and just fucking rapid fire. Introduce yourself to as many groups as possible and work your way around the club. After you build rapport with the entire room single out your targets and kiss close/ number close . Focus on what's MOST important. You don't need to be spending an extra hour posted up on the wall waiting for things to pick up. *more details on how to do this in my E-Book "Bitch Magnet"*

I first learned about this "time management" technique (if u wanna call it that) In Tim Ferris' book the "4 hour work week"

I introduce to you "Parkinson's Law" *for people who aren't familiar*

Parkinson's Law dictates that a task will swell in (perceived) importance and complexity in relation to the time allotted for its completion. It is the magic of the imminent deadline. If I give you 24 hours to complete a project, the time pressure forces you to focus on execution, and you have no choice but to do only the bare essentials.
If I give you a week to complete the same task, it's six days of making a mountain out of a molehill. If I give you two months, God forbid, it becomes a mental monster. The end product of the shorter deadline is almost inevitably of equal or higher quality due to greater focus.

This presents a very curious phenomenon. There are two synergistic approaches for increasing productivity that are inversions of one another:

1.) Limit tasks to the important to shorten work time. (80/20)
2.) Shorten work time to limit tasks to the important. (Parkinson's Law).

The best solution is to use both together: Identify the few critical tasks that contribute most to income and schedule them with very short and clear deadlines.

Once you have your time under YOUR control then you can master anything in your life.

Just buy the book : 'Eat that frog' by Brian Tracy, it's a book about time management.

I think time management is all very simple really. Figure out what you need to get done, figure out when you're going to do it, do it.

All this 20/80 and Parkinsons law stuff is all well and good, but the thing is, if I'm rushed to finish a piece of work for a deadline it might end up being the essentials, or it might end up being a crap piece of work which I haven't had time to do and so is a bit shabby. If I have a week to do the same thing, it might be a really good piece of work because I've had ages to do it, or it might still be a shabby piece of work because I leave it to the last minute or do too much work on things I don't need to.

The real simple thing is the "formula" I mentioned above. And then if you still haven't got enough time to do other things, make time. Get up an hour earlier. Make compromises - do one activity one week, and another the next. Or give up the evening class you've gone cold on anyway so you've got more time to do something else. Whatever.

As 7000 pointed out, rushing things the last minute does not always lead to quality work. Often times, it's the reverse.

As for time management tips, all I can add is to identify areas that give you bottlenecks and fix that.

For instance, if you go to work and you usually end up getting stuck in a 2 or 3 hour traffic during rush hour, then find an apartment that's closer to your place of work or don't brave the rush hour. Instead, work out the gyms or sarge until after the rush hour is through.

If you're spending more time cooking meals than necessary, change your diet. Eat instant SPAM where the prep time is a mere 2 or 3 minutes or cook food in bulk and store those in the fridge. Simply microwave those for a few seconds and you're great to go. I cook a kilo of spaghetti on certain occasions and simply microwave small portions during meal times. This saves you a lot of time and money plus it gives you the option to eat healthier since you can choose your own ingredients (grass-fed beef, herbs and spices, broccoli, olive oil, blanched fresh tomatoes, more garlic, etc.)

If you don't have a huge chunk of time to exercise, go high intensity interval training where you can cut your gym time by 2/3.

If you want to learn pick up in this forum, read the posts using your smartphone while you're taking a poop. if you don't have time for books, go for audio books and listen to them while you're sleeping.

If you don't have time to clean your apartment, let girls clean your apartment and then bang their pussies real good as their reward.

The list is endless BUT the rule is to always trade up to a higher quality lifestyle or work instead of trading down.
