I am about to go on a trip in a few days to Panama. I understand spanish but I don't speak very well. What are some ways I can pick up in another country without knowing the language? Thank you in advance for your time.

Find someone who speaks English?
PS some people find it cute when you struggle speaking their language. But be careful, dont try to impress. This one time I tried to impress a girl with my Spanish and it totally worked the opposite way.

Go to the nicest clubs or places in the area and you will always find native people who can speak english. In my opinion it is better to avoid speaking spanish if you dont have a good command of the language. Your attempts to communicate with women in a poor way, at the end usually prove to be more annoying and destressing than cute and charming. But dont worry, latin girls love outsiders and other exotic visitors.
