May im thinking too much about this one, but i'm curious as to what an appropriate response would be if a girl says "Tell me i'm pretty" or directly in whatever manner asks for a compliment in a similar fashion?

The reason i ask is because I overheard a girl telling her bf this same thing one day, and it peaked my curiosity. It made me wonder what I would have said if I was trying to hook her in (push-pull).

Another option you have is that you can give her a compliment, then ask for her to compliment you. "Now it's your turn." That way you can match value and still have positive rapport while compliance testing her at the same time.

It never happened to me that a girl would flat out ask for a compliment, sometimes it happens that they take the conversation to a place where they expect a compliment. When this happens I usually say something like "now you're just fishing for compliments. All right, this one is for free, *the compliment she expected*"

About negs, just remembered one I used once: One of my college professors invited me to the release of his new book. The professor is a retired admiral and the release was a black tie party at the noble hall of the ministry of defense, attended by some politicians, retired presidents and high ranking officials. I invited a girl I was gaming at the time to be my +1. She was younger than me and it was her first (and probably last) time at an event like that.
She was all like "What should I wear?"
Me: "It's a formal event, so I'd say a black dress"
