Hi I have seen RSD infield videos, they are always standing up, is there a reason for this.

In bars people are sitting.

Is standing more advantageous, should it be always desired even if a set is sat down.

There is no preferred situation, you can encounter your targets in any of these situations:

targets are sitting down: in this case if you speak from a standing position you will not be heard well and will appear beta to them. You should grab a seat within the first half a minute or you will not have a chance at the target... Sitting down requires that you have already gained some degree of acceptance from the group, else they will unapologetically ask you to leave... You should open powerfully and have something interesting to say for the whole group...

targets are standing: usually happens at a high energy or high noise environment (think club or crowded music venue). Here you can focus your attention on the target and not so much on the group, as they are less likely to hear you. Obviously, you want to be standing, like your target is...

Bottom line, you have to adapt to various settings where you will encounter your targets. The standing up situation is easier, this is why most techniques focus on it.

Apologies I should have made it clearer, is it better to get the sitting set to stand up with you so that you can do an extraction quicker. Standing up allows better position for strong kino action, is this why all RSD infield have the instructors standing with their sets, or that RSD guys only do clubs where everyone is standing.
