In my opinion, it is risky because it often backs fire. The girl often replies: "You think too much." or "You're too narcissistic."
it's more how you say it than what's being said. if you say it in a playful way and depending on how the interaction is going / leading up to this point it won't come off as narcissistic.
if you're having fun, it's simple flirting / bantering, there isn't much more to it.
Note: even if it comes off as narcissistic some women confuse narcissism with confidence, and others simply like arrogant men... so it's just a numbers game and it depends on the type of woman you want to attract.
