Just a quick question. After getting a girl's number - Call or Text ? At what time ?

2 days back I got this girl's number. She recently moved in my building. Met her in the elevator.
Had a small chat for 2-3 mins. Suggested we should hangout. She gave me her number without hesitation.
I dialed her number there, so she has my number as well.

I texted her today an hour ago - Hey Sarah, how you doing ?

No reply. (I saw her on SPAM. She was online)


Initially I thought of calling her but didn't know what time is good to call ?


I prefer calling but - 7/10 times call goes unanswered
(Girl's I meet in the elevator or lobby for not more than 2-3 mins).

Then I follow up with a text a day later and get a reply.


Any thoughts ??

I could've sent her something creative.

I was going to use her parking spot as she does not have a car. And I have 2.

Well since texting is so easy and available these days, most probably prefer to just text because it is so much more convenient than a phone call, which would help explain why 7/10 calls don't get answered for you. With texting you don't have to stop what you're doing, can give yourself time to think of a reply, maybe you don't want to have to speak and be overheard, etc..

That said, "hey Sarah how's it going" is not an interesting or reaction provoking text, and to her it might almost seem like you're hiding your real intentions for the relationship you want to build with her because it sounds too friendly, and also it could seem like "he's texting me how are you (fluff question), and then he's going to ask about that date he wants." That's okay for a business meeting, but in general social interactions, most don't want to be bothered just to be asked "so when can you hang out" because it makes it seem almost like a chore. You have to set the tone first, which is your backing reason for her wanting to hang out with you, then say something along the lines of "I'm going to XYZ on Saturday, come with?"

You should have tried something that would get an immediate reaction, even something stupid like [out of the blue] "Uh why did you actually do that???" (etc), then just switch it up to "I'm just f*cking with you, anyway..." and then the invite to where you want to hang out.

By the way, if you really have to call, leave an interesting and reaction provoking voicemail instead. Most phone providers will alert you when you have a new message.

Also, don't go too over the top with "reaction provoking" message since you don't know her that well, just write enough of one to get a response.

In Dubai - leaving a Voicemail is not common.

Should I just text her tomorrow:

I've stolen your parking spot. Let me know if you're bringing a car. I'll move mine

If you know she has a car, sure, but where is this going? What's next after that?

I would just send something like "I'm doing insert thing here today, want to come with?"

That is the point of your parking spot line, to 'open the set', so to speak.

Something like this:

You: Mind if I steal your parking spot ?
Her: Sure take it.
You: I'll buy you a drink to pay u back, I'll be at X on Thurs. nite., come..
Her: Ok, should I wear panties?

So I put a little creative license into the last line but u get the idea.

Should have led with the parking spot "opener"; agree with the other posters that the 'how are you doing' is not strong enough to hook.

I would send asap; normally would wait but like almost everything in this game this is a non-template situation. Your first text almost doesn't count with the 'how are you' thing...your next text is like a quick followup to that.

Me: I'll return the favor sunday evening at 360s. See you there.
Me: It's a really nice bar just to let you know

No reply in 2 days. Called her today no answer.

Time to delete the number i guess

Hot girls give their number out to lots of guys. The "Wait 3 days" thing is old fashioned. If you wait more than 24 hours she's probably already booked 2-3 dates with other guys she met that weekend.

You need to get a girl to invest in you more. The only reason why you should ask for a number is if logistics mean you cannot fuck her there and then.

Daygame blueprint: Open during the day, build a connection then get number and see what she's doing in the evening. If she's willing to meet you in a bar later that day, it's on. Alternatively, she may be free to go for a coffee with you straight away. In which case you should transition and move venues with her until you end up at your place the same afternoon for sex.

Nightgame blueprint: Always push for sex the same night you open her. Then you can choose whether you want to give her your number the morning after. I learned this the hard way, i had one-night stand girls calling me and bothering me for weeks (in one case MONTHS ) afterwards. It's easier to get same night lays if you open her after midnight, 2nd half of the night is when girls loosen up. If you open her early in the night between 9pm and midnight, build rapport with her, then blow her out to get her number, then text her something flirty right away so she remembers you, then open a few more sets. If nothing happens with your later sets, hit her up again to re-connect with her by phone (even better if you go and find her if she's still in the same club) then get her to go get food with you. Then keep transitioning venues until she's in your bed.

Don't waste time with head games or waiting a few days because you're pretending to play it cool. Strike while the iron is hot.
