@neo - The OP created an immoral app and advertised it on the biggest PUA forum. We rightly reprimanded him for it and explained the problems with the app, warning others to stay away from it. That's all we can do. "Fighting for something" as you put it, is not manly, it's over-dramatic and petty. If noobs read this thread and still use the app, then on their own head be it. The modern game is all about being unaffected and avoiding outcome-dependency. Causing drama by demanding that the app developers pull the app off the market is not a man "taking action". I think you need to re-think what it means to be a man. As a man you should be generally chilled, unaffected and pick your fights. You can't fight for everything you disagree with or you'll never get on top of your own shit and you'll never get shit done. Real men make their point and walk away. I couldn't care less if noobs buy this app, I've voiced my disapproval, given valid reasons why the app is counter-productive, that's it. I will let other men look at the evidence and come to their own conclusions.
I've also realised why the female version of this app actually works for girls, but the male version doesn't. If a guy gets mixed or even negative reviews on the female app, eg. "He's an asshole, treats you like shit, cheats constantly" etc. this will actually work to his advantage in the dating game because women LOVE drama and many girls have low self esteem. Watch RSD Julien's videos; he talks about the drama relationship a lot (giving the girl a full range of emotions, high and low).
Whereas a girl with similar reviews would be used only for one-night stands at best, or slut-shamed and avoided at worst.
Your argument that "girls have an app, so why can't we have one too?" is completely illogical. Girls are emotional, girls bitch, girls cry, girls have temper tantrums, girls like being tied up and fucked. So by your argument, would it be ok for men to be all of the above?? I mean, girls do all that, so why can't we, right??
Hunter, I've never said just because you disapprove of something fight against it. But the words on this thread have called the app "dangerous" and "immoral." Those are strong words. If you're a man and think something is dangerous and immoral, you would take action against it. Great men such as Mandela and MLK fought against things that they thought were dangerous and immoral. Now, I know it's a dumb app, but those were the words thrown about on it. There is a difference between disagreeing with something and finding it harming to guys and girls. I have said multiple times I don't agree with the app. All I did was question your arguments. Are men so close minded and simple here that someone questioning an argument = supporting and thinking something is good?
Whether it works better for guys is irrelevant. If something is immoral for guys to do, it's immoral for girls to do. And I believe in both cases this is. If immorality is the issue, you can't cherry pick pros and cons. If it's immoral, it's equally immoral despite it's benefits. Something is no less immoral if men can still get laid off of it.
Where has my argument been that since girls have it, why can't we too? Never. Again, I said I can't condemn a male version of something when the female version has been out and I've said nothing. That would be hypocritical. Now, that's a personal reason for my actions. Not an argument.
Now, you mentioned RSD and this thread literally looked like an RSD thread. I was going to mention that, but know how hardcore guys get over RSD. It's a site that preaches the simplification of game, while posting 1 vid a day about some new concept or point. Conflicting messages and rationalizations for these differences are all over that site. Honest question: if you have to say so much about game and your opinion is constantly changing, how much can you say you know? Do you know anything? If the message is constantly changing, what guarantee do you have that what they say today is true? This is not a bash to you, but an observation of RSD.
Say you don't like it for XYZ reason fine. But to dismiss a newb who has the right to do what they want with words like "bitch" and judgement calls is just bullying guys to follow your view. And a guy with 2 lays at 30 should not be calling any newb a bitch and shows how people are just following blindly. Whether I agreed with your views 100%, I'd still say that dildo jokes to a non personal response was a no go. This is why the success is the community is so low, because everyone tries to impose their view on others. The AFC's have become AMOGS. I don't like sluts. Hunter does. I won't call you desperate or low class because your view on sluts is different than mine. I can rationalize negative things about who you are if you love sluts, but I'm at least open minded enough not to assume things about you because of your opinion. Attack the app, fine. But attacking people online is childish.
