So I was talking to my friend about this. He said however long she takes you should take. As in she takes an hour you take an hour. She takes two days you take two days . I think its kinda stupid and obvious. What I'm thinking is wait to reply but reply after like an hour or two. Unless that's too needy. Maybe a compromise? I just hate it when they're too busy to pick up the phone and you go through this cat and mouse texting bs. But funny thing sometimes text me back when I call and dont text. Or sometimes they take a full 24 hours to answer then apologize.

All such "rules" about how long to wait until you respond is just some weird substitute of having a busy life. IMO you can respond immediately if you want to. It is not the time between the messages that is the key, it is the contents.

But if you do want to be scientific about it, vary the time you take.

ill take a few minutes and then tease her.. maybe like "wow you text real slow.. you're boring me"

As long as you don't sound needy and come from a place with confidence. And of course you don't want to constantly text her back to back either.... but one follow up never hurts.

Hey bro,

If a girl is taking 24 hours to text you back the chances are you haven't built of a strong emotional connection with them yet. And when a girl is on fire for you, its hard to get them to leave you alone. So if I were you I'd stick to phone calls until you've built a strong enough connection to the point where they don't have to wait 24 hours because they will be contacting you first.
