Hey everybody, I'm just a newbie with a question.
All the time I get girls that come up to me and say I have pretty eyes.
I'm pretty sure they're interested because they usually are looking at me up
until they say that and they wouldn't compliment somebody they're not interested in, I don't think.
I just say, "thank you," and that's pretty much where the conversation ends.
I don't know where to go from there, so after there's an awkward silence where we are just looking at
each other for about 5 seconds until one of us walks off.

Answer more flirtatiously. Your reply of "thank you" is the same line I use to get rid of ugly chicks who compliment me.

Use it to start a conversation. You could say anything eg. They are X-ray eyes, you can see right into someone's mind and use this to tell the girl what she is thinking about you right now (use sexual innuendo a lot).

Then bring her in closer, touch a lot, use your pretty eyes to stare directly into hers and when she gives those dilated puppy dog eyes, go in for the kiss. In fact, I wouldn't even wait for the puppy dog eyes, just go straight in with heavy kino. The fact that she felt the need to vocalise such an overt and direct compliment is a massive IOI and basically indicates she wants to fuck you and give birth to kids with pretty eyes.

I guess the only thing I really could come up with was to just ask her name or
something like that, which is better than what I have been doing, but still
seems pretty lame to do.
No doubt I'll be trying something flirty next time.

ya tell her "no wonder you like them, they are magic eyes that make every girl wet when they look into them." and then just stare deeply into her eyes.
