This is one of the dumber questions I've asked, but I'm going out with this girl on saturday, the date is out of town, but only our 2nd date I was thinking pick her up, but how do I go about setting that up without potetially making her uncomfortable. I was thinking something like she confirms I reply with cool. Pick you up at 8?

Only thing I'm concerned about is if she doesn't feel comfortable with that it would be awkward if she says no I'll meet you or something like that.

where im from i thought you were suppose to pick girls up even on the first date...with that said, i think that would work if you say "pick you up at 8" or u can ask "so its cool if i pick you up at 8"

I agree with you and that's usually how I do it, but since I posted this there's been a change of plans. She has to work until 7pm I have to be where we're going for 4pm. So we're gonna have to meet there shouldn't be a problem though. I was gonna make a joke something like I would be a gentleman and pick you up, but I have to be there for 4.

here's what's up. We're going to a boxing fight. I'm cornering for a couple of the guys so I have to be there early. So text her and jokingly say I would be a gentleman and pick you up, but I have to be there early so I'm gonna have to be a prick, and meet you there lol. She replies with hahaha that's cool. I know the area well. Also keep in mind the fights in her hometown which is only a 30min drive from where she lives now, so I figure I'll have a ticket for her at the door, and after its over take her out for dinner. Also she's a boxer herself so she understands the coaching thing, and having to be there so that's not a problem. I just tried to get around it in a light humerous way.

looks like everything is fine to me. I think you were just over-thinking the situation. No reason she should have felt uncomfortable with you offering to pick her up anyway.
