Girls can tell that I work out, and I seem to get this question pretty often. "Do you have a six pack?" I was gaming a girl last night and everything went smoothly except I slipped up on this question. It wasn't until later that I decided my go-to response to this question will be, "Wanna see it?" and if they say yes, I plan to follow up with, "Alright, well show me yours first." If they say no then I'd probably say, "Phew, good, I thought I was picking up on some creeper vibes for a second there."

Guys who also get this question, what's your response?

Here's my take on this:

When we have something that draws attention - a sharp shirt, a new hairstyle, a unique pair of shoes, a six-pack etc. the temptation is to enjoy this attention too much when that attention is coming from a female. By doing so, we get a little shot of ego-boost for a few seconds.

It usually doesn't serve us though.

If we say something like "Wanna see it?", we are essentially saying, at a very subtle level: "I have a six-pack. I wanted you (or some woman) to notice it tonight. Thank you for noticing it and validating me". We don't need validation.

It's also a yes/no question, and we ask yes/no questions, we leave ourselves open to one-word answers that can take the steam out of the interaction.

If I was asked about my six-pack, and if things were already going pretty well, I would probably do one of the following:

- Say "you're cute when you're asking questions", then change the subject and continue to progress.
- Say "I have a question for you", then follow up with a completely unrelated question that gets her emotions fired up (and takes the attention off your six-pack).
- Look at her in silence for five to ten seconds, perhaps with a triangular gaze, then pretend that she never asked the six-pack question and blast ahead with a change of direction (either physically or conversationally).

And don't show your six-pack. If she plays her cards right, she might get a chance to unbutton your shirt later and see it.

I second with what Evan said. You are just going to sound like you are looking for validation. Working out should NOT be for women, even though it is a good thing?

That may sound contradiction, but even though I have a nice sports car, I drive it for me and only me because I like it. If a girl likes it, cool, but I don't use it for validation purposes. The same goes for anything else that might seem like we do it for others, but just do it for yourself.

Follow with what Evan said, ignore it and move on. It will also keep her interested. Or just say something like "idk" or shrug and keep on with the interaction. Again, this will keep her wondering if you do or don't. My guess with this, is she'll try to do something like the one hand on chest thing, and try to feel.

This is a part where you can do some push and be like "wo wo woo, I see what you are trying to do there. $20 dollars" or w/e

I didn't even think about it like that, good point. Usually when I get a compliment I just say thank you and move on, but a compliment in the form of a question seems to throw me off. I'll think about what you said.
