does rsd every refer to using indirect approaches, or is it all direct approaching ??

also what are your opinions on the best approach for a out of your league girl

Well, first of all, as far as I can tell, RSD has so many different instructors with so many different personalities that there is no textbook RSD approach to pickup.

As for an "out of your league girl," Stu was right -- if you think that a girl has more to offer you than you have to offer her, she'll sense that and she won't give you a chance.

Think of it like this: If you yourself don't think that you deserve her, how will she be able to think that your approach is worthy of her time?

You should be confident that you have so much going for you that she is the one wondering if she is playing in your league. That doesn't mean anything like, the hotter the girl, the more money you need to earn or anything like that. It only means that you bring the fun with you wherever you go and time spent with you will be better spent than with anyone else.

Direct and indirect approaches depend on a situation. I use both.
Direct approaches delivered with confidence work wonders on more confident girls. You will need an indirect approach and a lot of finesse with the shy girls.
