So, I decided to hit up happy hour at a local bar to get over some nervousness.

The bar was packed, but no singles. Mostly couples or dudes.

I decided to attempt my skill set against the guns.

The first one (my bartender) was an HB8. She was sweet, and I struck up various conversations with her. I got 2 IOI's (immediately started to fumble with one of her rings and she started to twist her hair). I decided to check her single status by asking her for her opinion on my blind date last week. I started the question with "so, I'm assuming you are single" and I received a single head nod yes. I gave her my story and told her it wasn't a complete success. She proceeded to tell me that she has a friend that is looking for a "nice guy" but she is a bigger girl. I was taken back and she kept saying "she was a big girl". She must have repeated it 3 times. I didn't decline the offer or make any comments. I did tell her that "Is she really looking for a nice guy. Everyone says that..." She confirmed at then had to wait on other customers.

Since I wasn't interested in her "big' friend and she acknowledged she was wasn't single, I decided to strike up a conversation with another hired gun. HB7. We had some quick laughs, but it didn't really pan out (it seemed more like customer service to me). I decided to cash out, and just before I left, the first gun told me to come back tomorrow and that she was working during lunch. I said I don't work close enough for lunch, and she said "well, I'll be here till 10pm."

I was there for 2 happy hour beers. $6 before tip. And there were people waiting for seats a the bar, so I can't imagine it was sell job. I'm not expecting anything, but is it worth going back ? In my mind, the worst case scenario is that I get 2 more cheap beers and hope for some better talent to show up.

Any suggestions on what to say to the HB8 the 2nd day?

She sounds keen to me, definitely go back. Just keep doung what your doing and escalate, fund out when her shift finishes etc, and Fuck her.

My ex gf was a bartender. It's their job to establish relationships with a costumer so they will come back. Similar to strippers. Some places does not allow girls to say that they are in a relationship and they also have to put their FB status as "single". Be careful with that, but yeah come back, you have nothing to loose. The worst case scenarion you will get experience.

So, I went today. She was there. I asked her how her night was last night and she said "I worked till 10 and then went to my boyfriend's place."

Once I heard that, I killed the convo. If she brought it up right away, why continue the chase?

The issue that I ran into is that I saw 2 HB7 sitting by themselves at a table. I told myself I would go over to them, and I never did. All I kept thinking was what to say to at least one of them. I thought about complimenting of them, but I felt the other would be left out and it would be awkward.

Regardless, here I am second guessing myself instead of taking a chance. I sit here telling myself, "what's the worst that would happen."
