My mate needs confirmation until tomorrow to get the table, so how should I put it? The standard "are you in or out fryday?" or something bolder, like "I need an answer so I can call another girl if you can't make it". How would you say it?

What do you do for work? From the sound of your post and the way your boss is... pulling girls into the back office and fucking them sounds like something that wouldn't be out of the ordinary.

Well, at this point I don't think you have much more to lose, so if she blows you off just get another date and post pics on fb. This creates social proof and makes you look more atractive as a potential partner. It's the good 'ol cat string theory. If all else fails, frame your boss for embezlment and take his place.

I work for the devil, aka the IRS. There is no back office, we all work together in large rooms with some 10 desks a room. Besides, we believe our boss is just the local clown, like he barks more than he bites.

The guy is married, and the girl said she has a thing for him but will never go with a married men.

I have been giving her the cold shoulder since the beginning of the week, and she asked (repitedly) if there is something wrong in my live, and say she misses me joking around.

Update: We are not going to dinner due to conflicting schedules, but we are going to a concert on saturday night, and she was actily the one who invited me.

Any tips beside escalating?

I reckon your little plan might be working, you been distant but still get an invite. Now is the time to pounce, honestly she might have been open to F-close the entire time but you just didnt pull the trigger. I'd push-pull at the concert wind her up even more, kino, escalate, then just mosh to the music and ignore her, rinse and repeat.

This could be a "window of opportunity" moment so be bold.

After action report:

Another colegue of ours (also young and kind of atractive) also joined us there. Kino with both, took turns giving attention to one at a time. The other girl left early, so I escalated and k-closed my target.

On the way back we started talking about movies and I took the oportunity to promote an obscure movie I believe she will like as something great. In a few hours she will be coming over to my place to watch that movie. I wil stick with the plan and hopfully we will only take one car to work tomorrow ;)
