I’m going to tell you a story that starts with ‘once upon a time’ and end with ‘what a sad story’
Once upon a time there was this guy and he was just on his way to do his laundry, he wasn’t thinking of anything special just walking down the street to do his laundry.
At the end of the street in the other direction there was a woman and she was going to post a letter. She wasn’t thinking of anything in particular, she hadn’t changed or put her going out clothes on or even put any make up on. She was just going to mail a letter, and it just so happened that they happened to pass each other and the guy looked at the girl and said to himself ‘ do you know what? That is the 100% perfect girl for me, who would think that I would be walking down the street, on the way to doing my laundry and I would walk into my perfect woman who is the 100 % perfect girl for me?’ and the woman looked at the guy as she was on her way to mail her letter and she said ‘do you know what? That is the 100% perfect guy for me, you know I was just going out to mail a letter and there he is’
And by some miracle of nature, they actually worked up the courage to talk to each other. So they stopped and they spoke to each other and they started talking instead of walking by each other. They were talking about everything. It turned out that everything they had in common, they clicked on 100%. Everything they didn’t have in common, complimented each other perfectly. So they kept walking and they got down to the river and they took a seat on a bench there. Hours passed in the blink of an eye. After a while they thought ‘this is too weird, what are the chances of just walking outside and walking into your 100% perfect person’?
So a slither of doubt crossed their minds. So they said ‘if this is for real, if we’re really, really meant to be together, what we are gonna do is separate right now, we wont exchange phone numbers or anything, we’ll just walk away. If fate has really meant for us to be together, then we will run into each other again. If we run into each other again then we’ll know it was meant to be, we’ll get married on the spot. That’s it we’ll leave it up to fate’.
So they separated. He went out east. She went to the west. A day passed, two days passed, a week passed, a month passed, a year passed and they didn’t see each other again. After so long they started dating other people and they found 60% perfect love, 70% perfect love, even so much as 83% perfect love with other partners. But they never found 100% perfect love again. As more time passed they got married to separate people. They had nice marriages, nice children and had their lives. Many, many years in the future influenza was going around, it was a terrible influenza, people got very, very, sick. Both of their spouses got very sick and passed away. So one day the guy was walking down the street carrying a sack of laundry in his shaking, feeble 83 years old hand, by sheer coincidence she happened to be walking down that very street. She’s going to post a letter, which she is holding in her feeble shaking 79 year old hand. And they pass each other. He looked at her and said to himself ‘ do you know what? That woman seems very, very familiar. I don’t know where I know her from, I cant place her but I feel that I know that woman’ and she looked at him and she said ‘you know what? I think I know that guy. He looks very familiar, like I know him from somewhere, like he has some kind of meaning to me.
But they couldn’t place it. Too many years had passed. The memory had been wiped out by time and different experiences. They walked right passed each other. They didn’t even talk. The thing was fate really meant for them to be together. They really were the 100% perfect person for each other and what happened was. ‘what are the chances that fate was going to throw you together once, but how lucky are we going to be for fate to throw you together twice’? its like winning the lottery, throwing the ticket away and trying to win the lottery again just to make sure it was really meant to be. Their mistake was that they questioned fate, it was really meant to be but fate never really gave them another chance.
So a sad story isn’t it? _________________ i'm into what you can be, if you want to be.
