Just wante to get your opinion on what happened to me just now.

I met a girl working at a local pub, after a few short chats with her I asked her out, we met yesterday (Monday). We went out for a few drinks, I was my usual self - funny, open, escalated a bit with her on the way to the cinema, during the movie I placed my arm around her (she was perfectly happy with it) etc. When I was saying goodbye I got a little kiss (just a touch, but on the lips).

Today she sent me a text like "Thanks a lot for fantastic time I had last night, but I am only interested in a friend level relationship. If you want to grab a beer with me please give me a shout.".

I guess women will always confuse me... Was I too quick (I thought it was the virtue in the women's world?) or maybe I f***d up something else?

Need someday more info here matey!

Well, she was working in a pub so we saw each other a couple of times. When I asked her out I simply asked her what she does when she's not working, and then I offered to take her out and gave her my number. That was basically it. During the night we were basically chatting, I was quite confident and the conversation was very open and going well.

As I said, I placed my arm around her during the show and when we were coming back, and before we were departing i gave her a small kiss. That was pretty much it.

BTW, would you guys advise how to respond to a text like that? I am definitely not despairing, it would be nice to hang out with her but I am definitely not desparate and do not want to sound like that in a reply.

Almost definitely came across too weak and lacked confident escalation.

Look she sounds keen to see you again, so you got a second chance, you can either run a classic friendzone destroyer strategy on her, or just be more efficient at escalating.
