I'm a beginner at text game and so I need some noob help, especially in this weird situation.

Situation is I saw a hb yesterday walk into the market. She disappeared once inside but I know what car she was driving so I did the note in windshield thing. She actually texted me later last night.

Long text made short went like this:

Her: Note was cute. I didn't get to see you so we should even the playing field. Btw my name is "blah"
Me: Lol note on car is so old school but you disappeared when you walked in.
Her: Lol. ya I was on a mission.
Me: (About 15min later not knowing where to go from here or what to talk about) I'm at the gym now but I would like to chat so we can introduce proper. Whens a good time to call tomorrow if you're comfortable with that?
Her: Tomorrow is rough. I'm working double shift and then going away for the weekend.

I did not text her back. I didn't know what to say. I know if I don't get to talk to her for at least a few minutes today she won't have any time invested and after the weekend will probably totally forget about me especially since the way we met. She doesn't even know what I look like yet. I want to text her to day to fill in the gap from her last text. I kinda left her hanging. How do I pick back up smoothly and proceed to get her on the phone for a few min after work?

Lol your reading way too much into this shit. Never read into text shit. She's obviously fcking interested. Just set a date and done.

Well she already turned down your "date" you set, and quite forcefully too - making herself unavailable for the next few days, and never offered up a replacement date. So now you ask "What day suits you?" If she's still evasive, forget it.

BUT, very important;

My first observation - she was impressed enough with the uniqueness of leaving a note on a car that she decided to text back. Most likely a woman would be like "umm ok..." and not dare text that number and thus give their number to a potential stalker. So the note leaving, plus whatever you wrote on it, must have been good.

Then you trivialized it all by saying "it's so old school". The undertone is she's stupid for even having been impressed by it. What you did was basically "playing it too cool".

Your mindset should have been that it was a unique and good trick and that's why she's texting you, that's obvious, nothing needs to be said about it. You two just need to get to know each other and that's exactly what she was attempting to do. She was up for meeting up, that was your next step. A girl as hot as her knows that socially clued in people know that a girl like that has a lot of guys bothering her. So for her to offer you a chance to meet up means you've impressed her quite a bit. And because that doesn't happen often, you take the opportunity she offered. That doesn't mean you throw yourself at her feet, but take the opportunity when it's given, at least! When you didn't take up her offer, it looks like you don't know what you're doing.

It's such an odd and fragile situation, which is exactly what made it so special, but also why at this point it's likely impossible to get her back. She said the next half of week is all booked out, and never offered a time.

But the proper procedure is to make sure. The next step is to try and call - pick a time when she's likely not to be at work (double shift makes that hard, I'd say intentionally!) if no answer, text. Either way, ask what time suits her. If she continues to be evasive, that's it - do not reply. Forget about her. Try again with someone else.
