GF: "What are you thinking?" (I get this one all the time from her)

Me: (something silly and unrelated)

GF: "I just wish you would tell me your feelings more"

Me: "I feel like my armpits smell, get a nice whiff"

I get the "what are you thinking" a lot of time, and for good reason. I work on the field of corporate intelligence and risk management, wich is not something you just drop at the end of the day. I am working practically 24:7, there is always something work-related on the back of my mind, like a puzzle I have to finish.

So a lot of times I seem distant, and she asks me that, to which I respond with the truth, usually something like "China's economic growth strategy and how it affects the exports of one of my clients". That is how intersting conversations start

sometimes you gotta have normal conversation with her lol. I like some of the answers though.... but if you're in an established relationship seriously tell her how your day was or whatever... then go back to being a smart ass.

My point exactly. I have a background on management with a specialization in intelligence and security studies, my gf just started a marketing degree and has experience dealing with international customers on a bank, so sometimes she actilly ends up helping me find a solution.
