Follow one method/style. Don't mix and match or you risk your game suffering.

I feel i've fallen victim to what I hear is good or better to handle situations and what others think is perfect for specific scenarios only for me to apply it to the wrong style. The truth is there are a lot of methods out there and they all work but they work within that game type. If you're unnatural studying canned material and it works for you don't mix unnatural game with natural game or mix Mystery Method with The Natural. Stick to one theory and one frame of mind.

It's tempting to try things out that others learnt and have had great success with and it's more tempting to try and do things when people give their opinions and success reports based on their own studied method. From different methods you have opinions that conflict with other methods. For instance some would argue against using negs altogether while others would praise it, claiming it's necessity. If you're studying MM and suddenly you see the sense in not using negs you'll effectively hurt your game as negging can be quite important to the Mystery Method. You'll have situations where you get to a point where you would normally neg someone and then completely change your game and fit in a different counter productive method that just doesn't work with what you've laid out already.

While learning PUA you need a solid base to learn and improve from. You need it to gain confidence in what you're learning and see results from that style. If you're studying MM stick with MM. Peacock, use negs, use DHV, Social Proofing, AMOGing, etc. and stick it through if it's working for you. You'll hear other methods and others who believe in those methods and that's fine: They work just as well if not better. What you don't need is to alter what you're currently learning and find you don't really have any method or style to game with, essentially you're playing Texas Holdem with a pack of Uno cards.

If you want to be adventurous and try the things that work from various methods just leave it to the MPUAs or seasoned PUAs and once you have your base covered and set in stone(Know the ins and outs of your studied method) then experiment with different methods and try alter things that you feel aren't important to your game.

Disagree with this except for beginners and even then being too rigid is a cause of many beginners issues. Mixing and matching based on the situation and your personal attributes is one of the most important elements of pick up. Perhaps if you are a beginner it is best to stick to one thing at a time to learn, but in real life, mixing and matching IS the exact right way to do pick up.

Precisely the way I see it.

First of all, the method: not all methods work on all girls, so you have to adjust on the fly and adopt the method that best suit your target's psychological profile.

Second, the style:This goes against all the "emotional rollercoaster" theory. If you are always cocky, or classy, or naughty, it will only take a few minutes until your target gets bored. You have to mix your style and keep the girl on her toes.

What I do believe you shoud stick to is your own personal style. You don't have to change who you are, you have to create a better, improved version of yourself. If you act like someone else you will not feel confortable and will blow it. Other than that, mix at will!

This is about learning, not about already being a PUA.

When I stuck to a method I got better results. When I followed various good portions of styles and methods I didn't get any results. It was just a mess. Reading over Richard La Ruina cemented this thought in my head for learning at least. I'm about two months back into PU and two or three weeks ago, without my bearings, I lost my game specifically to this reason. Getting back on the hose and picking up from what I knew before i've begun to see my game come back.

"Absorb what is useful, Discard what is useless" - Bruce Lee

Every method out there has some gay stuff i don't use or agree with. But they also have some good stuff too, i just merge several methods via Bruce Lee mindset.

It's like anything you do in life. If you're trying out a new method and you reach a massive roadblock, then find another road that leads to your goal.

If you're already doing well with a particular method from approaching down to the f-close, then all you have to do is stick with it 80% of the time and then try other methods 20% of the time to see if you can be more efficient.

As one dude observed earlier, humans mix and match everything to come up with something better. From the numerical system to alphabets, from the binary system to content management systems, from simple roasting to the most complex Italian recipes, and so on, everything is mixed and matched on top of another.

Dawkins call these memes to distinguish human innovation and learning from genes which are biological learning naturally micro-coded into our bodies for efficient physiological adaptation to better survive in a terran macro-environment populated and dominated by intelligent bipeds subject to force majeure.
