Yup, I would go with that too. Put the ball in her court and let her make a choice. If she says no, move on an treat her as a long fuse, if you have the patience for it.

I texted her with the intention of just small talk. She gave one word replies and stopped texting. I think I scared her away.BIM gonna give up gaming her for now and maybe a week later since we live close

I think you didn't do badly. You asked her out. She rejected you. That's all I can see here. It happens all the time.

Move on. Also the fact that you didn't have time to text game for weeks makes it justifiable to ask her out on the first text. If she was interested she would have:
- called you back
- text you back with a time when she is available
- saying she's busy but she will be available at...
- saying something along the lines of "but we don't even know each other and you ask me out already bla bla..."

She wasn't interested mate trust me
