We had a text conversation for a while that suddenly ended. Later I got a fb message from her apologizing because her phone died. All seemed like green light until I asked for the date and got the response of "ok sure". This was three days ago and we haven't spoken since. The date is set for next Sunday (today is Wednesday). How do I keep from screwing it up. Are routines still appropriate at this phase?

Have you picked a location for this date?
Did you not text her after she said, "Ok sure" ?
Are you making the assumption that because she stopped texting you, that green light went to red light?
Sounds to me like you're overthinking this a bit. You have a date set, and she squashed the non-text speculation by saying her phone died. At this point, you just have to meet up and take it from there. If she's not actively texting, you don't need to either...you'll lose the power balance.
Focus on making the date awesome. That's about all you can control right now.
I would text her the day prior or something to confirm time and location and things like that. If she's text-MIA after that, then you are dealing with a nutty chick, in which case, NEXT.
