I work as a receptionist at one job and as a cashier at another job. Several times women seem interested like they are really smiling, maintain good eye contact and are talkative. But I'm scared to ask for the number.
Here are some of my problems:
1) What to say besides "How is your day going?"
2) Is this a nice script for asking the number:
"You seem pretty cool. I would like to get to know you more. May I have your number?" as I am pulling out a pen and piece of paper or handing her my phone.
3) I don't want her to complain to the business owners that I was being improper or inappropriate so that's why I get so scared to ask for the number. Is my fear reasonable? How do I act so that I do not come across as inappropriate?
4) Sometimes girls show interest in me and I notice they are wearing a ring on their left hand's ring finger. What does that mean? Are they just being nice or are they really interested? How to tell? Should I go for asking the number or is it going to fire back at me?
Thank you for your input.
As someone said .. game in other locations ... most likely most of these women are just being nice, because you know, that's what people do. Your best bet here is to shoot the shit with them a little and hope that there is a repeat customer and then you can slowly escalate like maybe tell them you heard about some cool thing in the area btw they should check out depending on context.
