So there is this girl I am really, really interested in. I am still a teen (16 years old, she is one year older than me) and am usually really good with girls. But that one is a pain in the ass. She is not a 10, maybe 7 or 8, but really smart (I fell for her personality). I met her at the gym, where I approached her and she gave me her facebook. When she stopped going to the gym I texted her on why isn't she going. Things were really smooth and we chatted for like a couple of hours, then after a few days she went to Spain. I managed to make a small talk while she was there, but she wasn't that communicative. She told me she was going to see a bullfight, and when I asked her how it went after that she didn't answer (she saw the message a few minutes after). Few days later I tried initiating a conversation again asking her about if she took her English exams, she replied with a few dull answers, conversation did not happen. Her birthday was yesterday, I texted her, she replied with a few emoticons and a a "thank youu". I suggested she was buying drinks, and she replied with "Okay, when I see you".

Can anyone suggest what do I do next?

On your specific problem, I have nothing. Based on what you wrote sounds like you did it right and I have no clue for why she is acting like that. Is she still in Spain? Maybe she just wants to have fun wheile she is there and soon will return to normal. Maybe she met some other guy. All assumptions would be shots in the dark at this point.

My advice is that you stop trying to force a conversations, it makes you look needy and clingy. Instead send her a "ping" from time to time. "Pings" are messages (usually humurous) that do not make it awkward if she does not reply and remind her that you are still there. For exemple, since you met at the gym a good callback humor ping would be something like this: "Someone call greenpeace, a whale just lost course and wondered into the gym".

I disagree with the whale line. That won't get you anywhere you're making fun of a fat person that's trying to improve their health/life. Do you really think a smart girl is gonna find that funny? Dude you're overthinking this everything you've done so far is good. Remember she's on a trip in Spain there's a lot for her to see/do maybe she just doesn't have time to have a convo with you right now. I've been there before girl on a trip seems cold, but in reality she was just busy. Wait tll she gets back ask her about her trip take her on a date just be cool. Good luck!
