Say you give me a 10 who hasn't yet interacted with me and a 5 who has shown a clear liking for me, I will feel attracted to the 5. I'm literally incapable of chasing after a woman who doesn't like me: I won't feel the attraction. None of her physical features will have a draw on me unless I believe she likes me.

When I say attraction I really do mean attraction. It's not as if I see a woman who likes me and decide that "I'm already halfway there" so now I'm gonna go for it. I mean like if I'm alone in my room having a sexual fantasy, I'd choose the 5 who likes me over a 10 who is neutral even if I'm not getting with either of them.

Is this normal? What might be the cause of this? See, I don't really identify with this behavior, I'm basically just describing how I function. Like, if you ask me why I like the woman who showed interest, I won't have any kind of rationalization for it. I won't be telling you something like "only shallow people go by looks". All I know is that unless I think she likes me, she's just another random person to me even if I can on some level recognize that she is probably more attractive than 99% of other women.

If I try to do it without the attraction, it feels extremely awkward. I'd have trouble even coming up with a compliment for a neutral 10. But if I think a 5 likes me, the compliments on her beauty come to me effortlessly and they don't feel like lies, either. The problem for me is I'm not that great at actually figuring out when women are attracted to me. So I very rarely actually feel the motivation to pursue a woman.

I would love to hear the answer to this as I'm the complete opposite. I'm only attracted to girls who show almost no interest. If a girl shows interest I immediately have less attraction until she no has an interest in me then I always wonder what if. I think I would rather see the world from your eyes

What if you go up to a "10" who doesn't like you at first, but after a little bit of talking she begins to like you? Would you feel attraction then? Have you tried this? It's always good practice to try get every set.

I have feel the exact same way but im very good at telling who likes and not. Just getting eye contact across room/bar/place i can tell if shes interested. I would never open a girl who havent given me a soa.

Honestly think at some level it has to do with our view of ourselves. I was a very introvert guy and a virgin untill 21 but then pretty much exploded in the girl department after i forced myself to start talking to girls at bars - the natural came out . If you have a similar background maybe its related at some point.
