So I got this girl's number at this beach party the other day...I wasn't there for long but in my 30 mins of being there I only talked to these two girls (mostly about drinking craft beers and work), both were HB 8's. Before I left I said what the hell and asked the single girl for her # and she gave it to me. Texted her the next day saying "This is a VIP #, store with care- My Name". She didn't respond, so now I'm wondering if I should ask her out for a beer or just avoid it and move on. As the title says I'm just doing this for practice to learn what works and what doesn't. I'm thinking of just saying "So when can we get some beers together?".

First, if she didn't respond to your initial text your chances with her are fairly low, however they are only going to get worse with trying to set up a date without giving any value first and working some push-pull and priming the pump. Do this instead: ping her in a week with some other good line, it may just be a logistical issue she is having this week. If she responds escalate appropriately from there, if she doesn't respond, then forget her.

Don't get into the bad habit of trying to immediately go for the meet up via texting without creating value first, it comes off as desperate. Remember if a girl would ever consider meeting you out, she would certainly respond to a banal and innocuous funny text. If she wont respond to a trivial clever text there is no way she is gonna meet you "out for a beer" so you aren't gaining anything by putting the cart before the horse.
