Ok so this girl (who is a friend that i have known since the start of the year) is super flirty in person and gives a fair few IOI's and will often start a conversation with me when we hang out and what not but talking to her over text is a struggle. I have tried on a few occasions (over the space of a few weeks) starting up conversations with her over text and her replies have been very short and not giving much away, yet in person she is completely different.

The thing is though that she usually replies to my messages unless I leave it without asking a question or just on her message. The other day though I started a convo where she replied so i replied back ending it with a follow up question which she would usually reply to even if it were just a short answer. This time there has still been no reply for it. What do you guys recommend? A freeze out from everything including face to face conversations?

There's no game in text messages gentlemen. I would worry about your encounters with her in person. 1st Ensure she truly is giving the correct IOIs, you could be perceiving it as flirting when really the women just likes attention during personal encounters. (alot of them are like that)
2nd, keep texts to the point and don't be an interrogator with all the questions. If her text messages are short so should yours.

I think what makes this situation worse is that I know for a fact that she is talking to a couple other guys over text and they apparently text eachother every day. Yet in person with these people she doesn't show as much interest as with me. I think my competitive nature is coming out with the whole wanting to text her shit
