Here's a question.
Imagine that you are a total Newbie AFC and wanted to seriously improve your Game. You have decided to attend a PUA workshop and you only have $2,000 or enough only for one workshop, which of one of these would you attend and why?

- Juggler Method
- Pickup 101
- Dicarlo Drills
-Speed Seduction
- Other(Non Mystery Method Only please)
Since Mystery is the obvious choice

Please explain your rational for your selection.
Thanks

Look man, you can only get so much out of sitting behind your computer and chatting with people online. Its easy to say yea this works over the computer to someone you've never met. I'd go with Dicarlo Drills, hands down. Go to his website and read about it. You need some field time with professionals, you game will increase 100 fold. Thats just my opinion

I feel that it wouldnt be a good idea to start the hobby with a workshop. You have no idea what you are getting into and the instructors are wasting their time pointing out the most obvious mistakes in your game. The boost in your game is of course massive but you can get there without paying 2000 right off the bat.

I was "Total newbie AFC" just 2 months ago but i am making progress with practicing and reading. If the progress would stop, then I would start considering a workshop. Dont spend the 2000 on books either. Pick one book, read the free material or steal material like assholes do.

I am kinda disappointed at the level of responses to this thread :( .

How are we supposed to help each other when you jealously guard your prized secrets ? One poster suggested using the PMZ Mentoring programme - that sounds like a cool idea but I don't know who these guys are and they could be AFCs.

If I am wrong- cool buty please explain

just get out there and do cold approaches, it sucks, its hard, and its hell emotionally when you get turned down, but in order to get good at anything you gotta go through the pain period (even style said this from a direct quote from shwartzineager or however you spell his name) you'll learn alot from just doing cold approaches and analying what went wrong in your speech/ body language etc.. just remember to use a tape recorder too to get exactly what you said, just don't let them see it

i know its hard to do this stuff, and im working on it too, but you just gotta do it or you can be weeded out of existance

remember you can read a 1000 books on PU but that won't mean nothing unless you just get out there in the field and learn

Thanks for your feedback.

Okay, I guess my thread may have led to some confusion and people thinking that I'm more on the keyboard than in field

Rest assured!
Going in field is not a major problem for me. I am more than comfortable going with a wing or solo. Although I prefer solo then I know that I have no back up and this seems to bring out the best in me

I just think that a crash course would solidify my knowledge and help fill in any possible loop holes.

here is what i did... its illegal but bear withe me:

i downloaded tons of information and seminars off the internet using torrents. i found out that they were all mostly the same thing just regurgitated. once i found this out, i used what i had learned, analyzed my life up to that point with this new perspective, then went out every time with the mentality of improving.

results came in and it cost me zilch.

save your $2k. better yet, invest some money in a haircut, some nice clothing, and a gym membership. these things will get your outer appearance congruent with this person you want to become.

best of luck!

badboy for me. he just blows my mind. i just wish i had 2000 to blow on one. otherwise a stylelife or MM probably. altho I could use work on my NLP, so maybe RJ, but that'd deff be fourth.

i say stay away from Pick Up 101 tho, they have bad buisness practices and I highly discourage them.

In the UK you have access to Gambler and PUA training. Id hit them up, since they will be in england year round and they can help you with every area of your life, from pick up, to health to fashion and style, everything. its a good program.

Look, if you want something cheaper than a $2000 workshop...
Just buy "Style's" (Neil Strauss) book, RULES OF THE GAME.

It's like a workshop, just the book is your teacher. And you do it when you want, where ever you feel most comfortable.

Yeah but the pressure of a teacher TELLING you and making you approach that blonde hb10 in a packed club, will build skills, not always when it feels comfortable and can lie to yourself " I'll do it tomorrow".

So, I realize this thread died a while back, but I think I have something useful to add to this debate about bootcamps. Bootcamps can be great, and if you have the cash to afford it I would even say they can be a great personal investment. However! There are a lot of sticking points that a bootcamp is ill-suited to address. The biggest that you are likely to run into, IMO, is that while on the bootcamp with an instructor there pushing you, you will approach with less anxiety, sets will open easier, and you will be able to escalate with less anxiety. So basically, everything can become much smoother than it will be when the bootcamp ends. This isn't always true, but I have experienced this and I have heard from a few others who have had the exact same issue and it seems to be pretty much independent of which bootcamp/workshop you choose.

When the instructor pushes you, you don't have to push yourself. And when it is over, you will only have yourself to do the pushing. The other big part is that you come to the bars/clubs with more social proof than you may normally roll up with. For instance, lets say you are with an instructor and a couple other students. Your instructor will probably do some demo sets right? And, being an instructor, he is going to do them well. Great, so here is the picture I see from a girl's perspective: This dude rolls up to the club with three friends, they all look alright, but one of them is really attractive. He seems to be one of the coolest guys at the club and is really good friends with him. So, yeah, now she kind of wonders who your instructor is and as a result is a bit warmer to you as well. Someone correct me if my thinking is wrong here, but it kinda makes sense to me. As a result, things might open a little easier.

So, basically: bootcamps are an amazing experience and good investment in general. They will absolutely open your mind to what is really possible and provide a great learning experience that can improve your game. However, they will not help much/at all with certain areas, and they cost a hell of a lot of money.
