Hi guys! Hows it going? I hope your doing great!

I was active in a forum years ago and now Im back and would like to improve a bit more. My weakest part is starting the conversation, once I opened everything is running smothly. So I wonder what suggestions you have for me. I really like the natural mentality and approach of the game, and im also really in to self-development. I've read juggler and swingcat in the past and I loved it, but still im having a really hard time walking up to a random women and start talking to her.

Ive searched around some and it seems that John Alexander, Vin DiCarlo, Brad P or RSD could be something that suits me, but im not sure. Ive also heard about Charisma Arts, Love systems and PUA Training. Im overvelmed. There is so much material out there and its been along time ago since I've read anything about seduction so I'd love to hear your opinions!

Take care, and wish you an amazing weekend!

Lots of the different PUA gurus have different tactics. Not any is better than the other. They all work if you do them right. The key is to read materail from the person who best suits your style and apply that. Or take a shot gun approch and read from them all and mix the many styles together.

The poster above recommended some really great material to start off with.

Books are great. I read at least 2-3 per month, but not PUA or self-help stuff.

If you look carefully, most of the PUA/self-help material out there regurgitates the same stuff. Reading more of the same may not help you improve as much as you'd like in the specific area you requested.

I would consider 2 options:

1. Books NOT related to PUA/self-help stuff can actually help you MORE. Here's why:

Many guys are so amped up on "game" material, yet they have absolutely NO knowledge of anything else and are complete idiots to talk with for more than 3 minutes. Everything they say is a routine and you can clearly see their "agenda".

Instead of reading more self-help stuff, try reading interesting books that stimulate your mind in ways other than PUA and give you things to talk about. (Personally I like books by Malcom Gladwell or Sam Harris). There is nothing more attractive than a guy who has read a book like Blink or Outliers and can hold a conversation about it with me.

You say you have problems with "starting the conversation". Well...PUAs are just going to give you a laundry list of primitive opening lines and ideas. Some may work...some may not. Even our website has a list of 20+ opening lines for different occasions. However, as we always say, these should be used only as crutches when no other organic option is available.

If you are at a Museum looking at the Picasso Black and White exhibit, you are much better off starting a conversation that involves something funny or knowlegable about the painting you are both looking at instead of a canned pickup line.

2. If you want to find a good PUA source, stay away from the ones that are just affiliate marketing scams with similar websites. Credibility is hard to prove, but you can easily spot the ones that are more marketing than substance. In particular, you should look for ones that give you 1-on-1 help -- either through email, SPAM, in-person. Written material can only go so far. To improve in some areas, many people need accountability and/or personal attention that only an individual coach can provide.

Don't fall for the 'boot-camp' scams either. At the ridiculous prices they charge, the PUA is getting much more value than the students. The only way to get proper attention and improvement for that type of money is to do something 1-on-1.

I agree with Stacey.

Don't read PUA books. Most of the authors will give you similar information but use different rhetoric. You will get much more with reading books other than those on pick up.

You don't need PUA books to start conversations. It's mainly practice. You can't become a nurse by just reading books about it, as well as you can't become an applied aerospace engineer by studying a physics textbook.
Immerse yourself in culture- go out, experience life, hang out with friends, watch television shows, read fiction books. Be well-rounded and actually go out. Don't waste all of your time just learning seduction.

Read Bukowski, Fante, Steinbeck, Vonnegut, Martin Amis, some Bradbury.

If you're interested in non-fiction, look into anything you might find interesting, except for pick-up. There's a point where PUA information becomes old.

Believe it or not, you don't need a bachelor's degree in PUA to seduce women.

For your goal the book, "how to win friend and influence people"

you can get it for free in youtube, as an audiobook...

for seduction in my site i break down the books i recommend and why. But if is for talking you do not need a book.

You talk to women like you talk to your friend but with sexual subcommunication, the thing is guys get nervous, anxious and in their head that is why they think they can not talk to women.

What really helped me were indeed non-pua books. Two books that boosted my game were:

1. Unstoppable Confidence:
How to Use the Power of NLP to Be More Dynamic and Successful
Kent Sayre

Do not think it's a book about NLP, because it's says so in the title. The NLP stuff is just in the end of the book, but that was not what gave me confidence. It's the rest of the book that's great.

2. No More Mr. Nice Guy
Robert A. Glover

Also highly recommended.

Thanks for the recommended reading list. Of the books listed, if I could only read one, which one would it be? And on down the list in like manner?
Thanks
