Hey guys, still new to the game so need some advice, heres the set up;

Went to a club with my mate who was DJ'in and his gf was working the door so scored free entry and drink cards. Wasn't feeling the vibe and energy, cute petite girl starts dancing with me and her gf shakes her head and pulls her away, not experienced enough to know what to do and i get blown out.

After my friends set finishes we're walking back to the car and a beautiful brunette HB9 walks past me and I NEED to open at least one girl before I go home! So as she passes me I touch her shoulder and say, 'Congratulations...' she continues to walk past me looking straight forward and I finish the rest of my opener '...you're very beautiful.' Immediately she looks at me and I smile at her, she smiles back. I keep walking a few steps and look back, shes at the crossing lights with her head turned looking back at me still smiling. She sees me look back and casually turns to face forward again. I tell my friends to hold on and I run over to her. As I approach her again I say 'You can't give me a look like that and expect me to not do anything!' I don't remember everything that was said but turns out she was trying to find her friends who have wondered off. I teased her about pretending to have friends and walking around on a Saturday night alone which lead to me asking if she was homeless then teasing her about that. She played along with everything I said and even missed the chance to cross the road to stay and talk.
I told her I had to get back to my friends but would love to take her out and for her to give me her number. She was suprised and reacted with, 'Really?' I said, 'Of course'. I pull my phone out and she gives me her number, I tell her I was saving her under (Her Name) the Hobo. Kissed her on the cheek and said bye.

In the car I was still in a playful mood so I text her, 'I heard the MX papers (free melbourne newpaper) make great blankets and pillows.' 10 minutes later she replies with, 'Absolutely, great insulation.'

I haven't replied and don't think I should. Obviously the next step would be setting up a 1st date but should i text a bit more and build up some rapport or should I just go straight for the 1st date?

Personally I would leave it a day and then just text her "Yo, going for coffee today. Come join, I want to hear more about street life" or whenever you are free for coffee/whatever activity.

Build shitloads of rapport/attraction in person then she'll want to meet up more instead of just texting.

Thats great! Definately will use that one when i text her again. I'll keep posting on this thread if anyone is curious to see what happens next. Im sure i'll have more questions to post.
