I was into Acid Rap for a bit, but then Chance's voice started getting to me. One of the better mixtapes of this year, though.
I'm into your tunes and have most of them, but after being in NW for a few years, I've found indie rock/folk bands to do the trick as seductive music. It does the trick here, and surprisingly, whenever I fly back out East, the girls there are also into it. The cultures are pretty different, and indie folk does magic for me for three reasons:
1. I've grown fond of it as chill music.
2. You'll stand out from all of those guys playing Wicked Games when they're trying to get it in.
3. Especially if indie folk doesn't correlate with your style/persona, you right off the bet become more interesting- another side of you opens up. It's kind of similar to when I was an athlete in college and used to listen to Beethoven's 5th symphony. Everyone right away asked, "What? Why?" After which, if I was alone with a girl, I'd break into how some story about how my mind creates a different plot for the music every time and it keeps me in peace. In truth, I actually enjoyed it. Indie folk has a romantic + sexual tone to it- depending on what you play of course.
This generally falls back on culture, but I've played these in Portland, Seattle, San Diego, LA, and Philly, and it just works. Even if you're just kicking it, drinking some beer, maybe taking some puffs of hookah or some better stuff, or even just pondering the meaning of life, you can enjoy it. Even better if you're doing everything aforementioned.
