Posts: 1 | | I'm going to try to make this as short as possible. About 5 months ago me and this girl that I go to school with started to talk a lot. I could tell she liked me and I liked her, but she had a boyfriend. One day she texts me saying she doesn't know what to do because she has feelings for me and she told her boyfriend about it and now he's upset. Ultimately she ended up saying we can just be friends. But we continued to talk and text literally all day, everyday for the next 5 months. I'm friends with her best friend and she would send me pics of their conversations and she would say stuff about me that gave me hope. Her and her boyfriend started having problems, and the boyfriend was mad about how much time me and her spent together. She said she wasn't sure what, or who she wanted.
We hung out alone twice, and both times we were all over each other which led to her saying we can't hang out anymore because she might do something she'd regret and it's not fair to her boyfriend. It's summer now so I don't see her everyday at school which was when I could talk to her face to face and when she doubted her current relationship most. But she still texts me everyday. I don't know what to do anymore. I've been trying to distance myself a little, ignoring her texts and taking longer to respond. I know she still has feelings for me and I want to be with her but what else can I do? Should I just completely ignore her? I feel like if I do that then she'll lose any feelings she has for me and if something happens between her and her boyfriend I'll lose my shot. I really really like this girl and want to be with her. I literally can't stop thinking about her. But if I continue to text her everyday I'm leaving myself open to keep getting hurt. Also, is it true that if I start to ignore her, her attraction to me will actually grow? I want to stop liking her, but I don't at the same time. I don't think her and her boyfriend will last much longer, but who knows. Any advice would be appreciated.

Posts: 143 | | I would give her an ultimatum. Tell her that if she wants to be with you then she needs to dump her boyfriend immediately and stop leading you on. Tell her that you having feelings for her but if she stays with her boyfriend then you're done being friends with her and you'll say good-bye. And make sure she knows that you mean it. And make sure that you mean it, as well.
