So I just was introduced to this girl who was Miss So-and-so-State for a recent year. We were randomly introduced and have only been texting so far. I don't bring uo that I know about her former title, but I want to be ready on how to react when she does bring it up. Obviously I won't overreact in awe but I'm thinking it could be a great opportunity to differentiate myself with a response/reaction that she's never seen before... when most dudes probably ooh and ahh.

What's a good plan, who's got some good ideas???

"That's pretty cool. I won a tennis tournament once, got a big trophy to prove it ;) What was your talent?"

I'd go with something like 'yeah I heard about that, well done', but said very very casually, the same way you'd react if she was telling you she got a job interview or something. Don't dismiss it but don't act hugely impressed either

Lets say she was like a miss teen state you could neg her by saying, so did you try for miss teen america? then she has to say yes and tell you that she did and didn't win... you could then be like oh... and change convo like disappointed in her

It doesn't really matter what you respond to it when she tells you. Don't listen too much to the standard pua advice over here and you can be genuinely impressed with it. Just don't keep keeping it up yourself and don't give too much attention to it afterwards.
You can always deviate the conversation from 'oh that's awesome' to making it more personal to here by asking for example if she thinks it has affected her personality in some way. Just don't be too try-hard not to be too impressed with it, but don't be too impressed either, you'll be fine.

Dated one. Just say really? That's cool! But don't go over the top. That's all.
