I am sure this is a very hot topic and it comes up a lot on here, we know that both of these are very different from each other.
I think with Day Game for many guys who are starting out from being a shy low confident person does take a lot longer to learn or muster up the confidence, but its also a lot more ballsy than night game because your actually approaching girls when your not drinking and that shows a clean confidence.
Not to mention the fact that girls don't expect to be approached during the day so it actually changes their day normally for the better when they get approached and complimented on.
With night game you have two advantages on your side, 1- girls are out to party drink and most of the time looking for a guy to hook up with 2- you have the influence booster of alki and your friends present plus a cool SPAM.

To me there are two different types of guys who start out as low confidence as per their personal situation, some guys just need the confidence push to chat to girls and get their numbers etc, others are shy in all categories for example they don't talk to many people at all including the people they work around or associate with.
They might not be social bunnies either which can really bring you down to actually get out there to the local mall or bar streets etc.
For me I am social I go out and party occasionally and I have a good range of friends, but the area I build on is getting the girls in public.

However I wonder because I find I am getting better results when I go out and night game which is easier but if that's going to improve me by capitalising and getting the girls then that's a step in itself which after awhile becomes natural and you don't think twice when out day gaming.
I also wonder if that's down to what kind of person you are as per how better you function, ever heard of the night owl or being the morning person? I am a night owl I am more awake and alert, can function more better from about mid afternoon.
I know it sounds abit like excuses but what I am trying to do is separate two different types of guys who would start off better on night game rather than day game.

I still do some day game by the way myself but its not my best by far yet which is natural, I just want to see what other people think about this.
You have the likes of Richard who focuses on the night game, and that's what changed my life about 2 months ago when I came across his work which to my surprise worked just like that I thought what have I been doing all these years when out in public.

It depends what types of girls you want to meet as well.

You will meet crazy girls in crazy places, like a club.

You will meet normal girls in normal places, like a book store.

I am pretty much a beginner at this, and I have been mixing in both.

What I have been doing lately is going to the mall for a couple hours, then hit up the clubs after.

I find daygame a little more difficult, but you will come off as more confident.
