is described as the friendliest and nicest girl in the area by my manager. I met her yesterday while volunteering for the first time. She is also a volunteer and we worked together for about 2 hours. She only works on Wednesday and I am unsure if I will see her again as my shifts might be changing.

I got on well with her however I am not sure if this was because she is so friendly and she can get on with anyone. I was able to make her laugh and smile and made good eye contact and was confident etc. and I feel I made a good impression.

If I see her again should I take this further? I intend to ask her for her number or Facebook and ask her to hang out as friends before I go home for the holidays, approximately 3 weeks. She works in another city normally which is nearby so I was going to suggest she could show me around the city.

What are you opinions, is this too much too soon? I am new to all this.

If she's interested at all, she'll be cool with it. If not, she'll say no and give you no alternative dates.

Okay thanks. When should I ask her? I only started volunteering yesterday and have 3 more weeks, so could see her 3 more times before I leave. See I don't want things to be awkward between us at work if she says no, or is uncomfortable with me asking her so fast.

My plan is to hang out with her on the final week.

Well then guage her interest in the meantime until you feel confident enough to ask.

Here are some things to figure out:

- Does she give you IOIs? Are they legit or do they fall under the "shes just a really nice person" category?
- As far as you know, are you the only one that seems interested in her?

In the end, I think it'll be tough to figure out whether she is "interested" in that way, mostly because you're still inexperienced.

Regardless of what you find out about her, you should be straight forward with her and ask her out. Worst case scenario, you leave the volunteer thing and never have to see her again. If it goes well, I trust you'll be back on this thread asking about how to kiss her.
