Hi All - I'm guessing quite a few people have had similar experiences to what i'm about to write.

On my journey to work, i met this girl who I get along with great. We only spend 10 mins together on a given morning, but we always laugh, joke and tease one another. I always manage to get her giggling and sometimes she even gives me a playful dig! :) Even in a short phone call, were comfortable enough to tease each other about something or another!

In all the times that we have spoken, not once has she mentioned a bf or even hinted at there being someone in her life. Ultimately, turns out that she does (Think she lives with the guy as well as another friend). When making small talk about plans for the weekend, she'll just say it was with her SPAM...

I can't figure out why she wasn't more open with me? Is it because she cares about what I think?

I'm thinking the above as on another occasion, we had just started our journey and she wouldn't make any eye contact with me (strange, right?). She would look out the window, to the floor, anywhere but look me in the eyes. Her next comment "i need to put my makeup on"..Couldn't help but think she didn't want me to see her without it... :)

My mind keeps thinking there must be something there as it's obvious that I like her... Either way; this has been too hard to work out what she's thinking and feeling...

Dude you're thinking way too hard about this.

Just cause one of her flat mates is a guy doesn't mean she's fucking him (unless she told you she was)...

The "reason" she wasn't forthcoming and honest doesn't matter. You want her to like you back so you're looking to reconcile it. Who gives a fuck!?

Nevermind the reason. If it were me I'd proceed until she stopped me and flat out said "I have a boyfriend and I'm not interested"

Game on.

My question to you is do you know definitely that she has a bf, or is this an assumption based on her living situation?

In the event that she hasn't explicitly stated as such (having a bf) then yes, it is game-on (as much as I loath guys gaming women who are in relationships). I'd proceed things a bit further and if she throws up a wall take it from there.

One look at FB pics said it all for me. I now understand that she likes the attention she's getting. My posting was more a case of trying to understand why she avoided even hinting at all about a bf. She's willing to talk about other aspects, some which i would think are quite personal (i.e. about her family, her education, etc...) but not the above mentioned.

I managed to get her number before and suggested we meet up one time but she just avoided answering me on this. Even a 'Sorry, i'm busy' or a reply on it would of been nice (i.e. closure) rather than have me thinking about whether she got my msg (I sent her a jokey text a couple of day's later and got a convo going then!).

She has definitely distanced herself from me as we don't travel at the same times now.

Either way; i'm being realistic about this as I wouldn't ever expect her to dump the guy given that they are part of the same social circle I think. I guess I just don't want it to be awkward between us with her feeling that she has to avoid me :( Ultimately - I took a shot and you can't blame me for trying. Would still want to be friends with her as we clicked...
