Conservatism is overrated. Old tradition of number of dates before xyz is pretty much non-existent. You should know based on IOI's when it's permissible. I personally look at the girl in the eyes when we're close. If she maintains eye contact, look at her face, lips, etc... If you didn't build enough value, she'll look away. There have been dates I didn't expect a k-close whatsoever, and then in that moment no more than a half of second prior I knew it would.

It's always different.

But as said above, go big or go home.
