Greetings all,

I'm definitely new to this. Recently out of a six year relationship, and like Aladdin and his magical carpet, this game is a whole new fucking world to me. I'm slowly jumping back on the saddle.

In my early years of college, I was really into the whole PUA lifestyle and I had some good times. But, I got married and did that whole thing for years.

I feel like an old dog trying to learn some new tricks, or at least adjust to todays world. Currently, I've been texting a few girls. I've also been hanging out with two locally, but one is in a relationship and the other is just for fun.

My number 1 happens to be 1500 miles away, which I'm still trying to wrap my head around that bullshit. One of the things that has changed since I was single, is the whole texting etiquette.

My number 1 is either really hot, or really cold with texting and I never try to initiate because I'm trying to maintain a bit of mystery (I'm trying to apply old tricks to a newish medium) and what is fucked up is she'll text me in the evenings, just to say hey ... text me in the mornings, just to say hey ... and keep this consistent dialogue going and its great. But, I want to take it to the next level, and usually that comes naturally, it just happens... but it hasn't happened with her yet, and I feel like maybe she is shy?

So, my short term goal while I'm here is to figure that out and my long term is to just get back out there and get some confidence back.
