A long time buddy of mine recently started dating this girl I've known for a while. I never hung out with her, I really just knew her from school. Apparently she thinks I'm really cute, she always compliments me, tells me I'm attractive, and is always smiling and laughing around me. (Not always the case for her boyfriend.) I've had at least 5-10 people tell me she likes me. She's really attractive and sweet but this is my buddy since middle schools girlfriend. Any of you guys been in this situation? If she was single I'd probably go for her but I'm not willing to lose a good friend.
DO NOT FUCK YOUR FRIEND. And even if they break up, DO NOT get involved with her without his explicit permission, and by "involved" I mean sex, not a serious relationship. I have had friends ask me to sleep with their ex and then dump her (I didn't go that far, but it wouldn't necessarily break you two if you slept with her, with his permission, after they break up). It's the "bro code", and true friends stand by each other. You were friends long before this girl came, and if you don't fuck this up, you'll be friends long after she leaves. Don't put random women above your friends. If she's obviously flirting with you, as hunter foxe said, you need to let your friend know about this, so he has all the information he needs in making his decisions about this girl. Obviously, she's not the most loyal one in the bunch.
