I've been in touch with this HB9 for about a year, on and off because she had a boyfriend. They broke up a couple of months ago, so I brought her out to a show last weekend, and brought her back to my place.

I was playing it super cool up to that point. Since then I texted her a couple of times during the week, she initiated a few times. I tried to direct these to further meet ups, but she was evasive or hesitant.

Yesterday I sent a text saying I would stop chasing her, to which she responded: "i'm not looking for something physical, i dont even know you, but i hope we can still hang out". I wrote back and said something like "we can take things slower," but no response.

So is freeze out the only option at this stage? have a feeling this is curtains...

No point in a freeze out since she isn't interested in you.

Move on. I'm sure you already know a few things you did wrong, but here's a few problems I see:

- You brought her back to your place, but I'm assuming you didn't so much as try to kiss her. Bad. Girls don't just come over to your place expecting not to get fucked, let alone make out or whatever.

- Don't tell her you're going to stop chasing her. There's so much wrong with it that I can't even begin to put it into words.

- Don't tell her you can take things slower. That translates to "I was trying to get with you quickly, but it didn't work, so now I'll try to get with you more slowly".

Actually I did initiate at my place, but she didn't want to go all the way. Wasn't for lack of trying!

my advice although I might not be an ACE in this field, would be that give your self a bit of importance a bit of value. let her try a bit harder! Don't over do it though!
